The Financial Services Tribunal is continued under section 242.1 of the Financial Institutions Act (the FIA). It has jurisdiction to hear appeals under the following British Columbia statutes:
- Financial Institutions Act
- Credit Union Incorporation Act
- Mortgage Brokers Act
- Real Estate Services Act
- Pension Benefits Standards Act
- Real Estate Development Marketing Act
The FIA designates some provisions in other BC Acts, such as the Administrative Tribunals Act, as applying to the Financial Services Tribunal. The following legislation may be of assistance:
